The Role
KELCOM Radio Solutions, a division of the Prairie Mobile Group, is looking for an experienced 12-volt equipment technician who can move into an installation position with minimal training. This is a full-time permanent position for our location in Windsor, Ontario.
With steady work, a supportive team environment, and meaningful projects that support public safety services such as Essex County Police, Fire, and Ambulance, the right individual will excel at working as part of a team or independently as needed and take great pride in providing quality workmanship. The successful candidate will be able to utilize their skills, knowledge, and experience to install, repair, and maintain specialized equipment in a variety of vehicles. KELCOM Radio Solutions has been a familiar name in Windsor for many years. However, as a division of the Prairie Mobile Group, we are now part of a nationwide network of professionals. Qualifications
- Be mechanically inclined and able to work with and maintain hand tools and small power tools.
- 3 years experience in a similar role is a preferred; but will train the right candidates.
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid 5 Level Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance throughout employment.
- Must be physically fit with the ability to bend, stretch, stand for prolonged periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mobile Electronics Certified Professional designation is an asset but not required.
