The Role:

We are looking for driven Service Technicians to join our two-way radio service team based in Edmonton, AB.  These are full-time, permanent roles.  These positions will provide exposure to advanced wireless systems and 911 dispatch centers.  Formal and on the job training will be provided to the right candidates.  Key duties will include radio programming; testing, installing, maintaining and repairing trunked and conventional radio systems; installing, maintaining and tuning antenna multi-coupler systems, duplexers and transmit combiners; and accurately record time and materials on service orders for all assigned work.

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Can work well under pressure with minimal direction.
• Mechanically and electronically minded.
• Working knowledge of test equipment and testing methods such as watt meter, multimeter, service monitor, antenna diagnostics, DTF, modulation.
• Knowledge and experience with Kenwood, Harris, Cisco preferred.
• Experience with antennas, cabling, wiring, grounding, BDAs, computers and IP, advanced programming and complex installations is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to lift, climb or carry a minimum of 30lbs for short distances.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to work both in-shop and in the field at customer locations; can fulfill on-call duties as required.
